Join us for an event that brings together a select group of investors and visionary entrepreneurs, creating a unique opportunity for networking, learning, and exploring exciting investment prospects.
We are particularly excited to announce that three Christchurch based esteemed companies - Kea Aerospace, Precision Chroma, and Adaptdefy will be presenting at this event. Join Mark Rocket, Sean Feast and Mike Brown in the spotlight as they captivate you with their groundbreaking concepts and disruptive technologies.
Kea Aerospace is developing a solar-powered aircraft that can fly in the stratosphere continuously for months at a time. The aircraft will be used to acquire high resolution aerial imagery over vast areas. Currently there are huge data gaps in acquiring frequent, cost-effective aerial data for applications such as precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, maritime domain awareness and disaster management.
Kea Aerospace has built two Kea Atmos Mk1 aircraft, with wingspans of 12.5 metres, that are currently being flight tested. The first stratospheric flight is scheduled for Spring this year. This funding round will be used to build and flight test the Kea Atmos Mk2, with a wingspan of around 30 metres, which is a technology demonstrator designed for multi-week duration flights and commercial payloads.
Precision Chroma is a University of Canterbury spin out company that is looking to simplify the way important biological pharmaceuticals (mRNA for vaccines, proteins like insulin and viral vectors for gene therapies) are manufactured. We are developing 3D printed chromatography columns that will replace multiple steps in the manufacturing process for biologics, significantly reducing process time and cost, estimated at 15-20% of total production COGS savings.
Adaptdefy's mission is to increase freedom and make life easier for millions of wheelchair users by creating desirable, easy-to-use products that solve everyday, real-world problems.
Tickets are free for members and their guests and $25 for non-members. Register here.
