Following on from Angel 101, a new workshop has been developed to focus more deeply on the investment activity an angel investor needs to undertake in order to manage their portfolio of investments and opportunities they are presented with regularly and give you some key tools and techniques in order to do this.

The course will cover:

  • Due Diligence – how to conduct DD on the team, assessment tools to use and how to assess what the information is telling you
  • Structuring an investment – planning for follow on investment, syndication and investment runway
  • Key investment terms – spend time focusing on what key terms mean, how they are calculated and what they look like in legal terms
  • Portfolio management – rationalising your portfolio, allocating follow on investment

The workshop will be run by Ken Erskine who has extensive experience as an angel investor both from managing his own broad portfolio and leading the Ice Angels team for six years. Ken has developed and run the AANZ’s Angel 101 workshop across New Zealand, receiving rave reviews for the content and his unique and fun delivery style.

This course will be run online and will be run over the next 3 months. It will be 2 hours long and is tailored to allow for lots of sharing, so that you will not only come away with a deeper understanding of how to invest effectively in high growth startups but also connect with angels from around the country.
